Use BabyLoop. BabyLoop ("BabyLoop: Relive Baby Moments") is an iOS app that helps parents rediscover and preserve memories of their children. With the user's permission, the app scans the photo and video library on the user's device to find moments featuring their baby, using on-device face matching. It delivers one memory each day via notification, records audio keepsakes such as a baby's first words, and automatically curates photos and videos into digital memory books and albums (for example, birthday yearbooks and holiday keepsakes). Captions for memories are generated using an AI service: a few selected still frames from a video are sent securely to our server and then to our AI provider to generate a caption, and are not stored. Your face recognition data, audio recordings, and full videos never leave your device. BabyLoop is offered as a paid annual subscription purchased through the App Store.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you use the Services or otherwise contact us. The personal information we collect may include:

Payment Data. If you purchase a subscription, all payments are processed by Apple through the App Store's in-app purchase system, together with our subscription platform, Superwall. We do not collect or store your name, billing address, card number, or security code. Superwall receives only anonymized device and transaction information needed to manage your subscription status. As part of our Services, we offer a caption feature powered by artificial intelligence ("AI Products"). We provide this feature through a third-party AI service provider, Anthropic.

How it works. Only a few still frames from a video, along with your baby's first name and age, are sent to Anthropic to generate a caption. Anthropic processes them transiently to create the caption and does not use them to train its models, and we do not store them on our servers. Your face recognition data, audio recordings, and full videos are never sent to any AI provider. Face matching to identify your baby runs entirely on your device.

In Short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in the United States.

Our servers and our service providers are located in the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, these countries may not have data protection laws as comprehensive as those in your country. We will take all necessary measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.

European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. For transfers of personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which are included in our agreements with our third-party service providers. In Short: We keep information stored on our servers for no longer than necessary, and no longer than 1 year unless required by law.

Information you create in the app — including your baby's name, date of birth, photos, face recognition data, and audio recordings — is stored only on your device. We do not receive or retain it, and it remains for as long as you use the app; it is deleted when you delete the app or remove the data within it.

Information we hold on our servers (such as usage analytics and the device identifier) is retained for no longer than 1 year, after which it is deleted or anonymized, unless a longer period is required by law. Video frames sent for captioning are processed transiently and are not stored by us.

8. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information. By design, the most sensitive data — photos, face recognition data, and audio — never leaves your device. Data transmitted to our service providers is encrypted in transit. However, no electronic transmission or storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat our security. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

9. Do We Collect Information From Minors?

In Short: The Services are intended for parents and guardians (adults), not for use by children.

Our Services are directed to and intended for use by adults (parents and legal guardians). We do not knowingly allow children under 18 to use the Services or create content themselves. Content about a child — including their name, date of birth, photos, videos, and voice recordings — is provided by, and processed with the consent of, the child's parent or legal guardian. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and that you are the parent or guardian of any child depicted in the content you process. If you believe a child has used the Services without parental involvement, please contact us at support@better-lyfe-tech.com and we will take reasonable measures to delete such data.

In Short: Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and control your personal information.

In some regions (such as the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information; (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict processing; (iv) if applicable, to data portability; and (v) not to be subject to solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. If you are located in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Withdrawing your consent. If we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. In the app, you can also withdraw consent by revoking photo library or microphone access in iOS Settings, or by deleting the app.

11. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. No uniform standard for recognizing DNT signals has been finalized, so we do not currently respond to DNT signals.

Global Privacy Control. We recognize and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If you use a browser or extension that supports GPC, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising under applicable state privacy laws, including the CCPA. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. You may have the right to limit the use or disclosure of your sensitive personal information.

Retention. Information stored on your device (Categories B, C, E, G, H, and L) is retained for as long as you use the app and is deleted when you delete the app. Server-side information (Categories A and D) is retained for up to 1 year.

Sale or sharing. We have not sold or shared any personal information for targeted advertising in the preceding twelve (12) months. We have disclosed the following categories to service providers for a business purpose: A (Identifiers), B (California Customer Records), C (Protected classifications), D (Commercial information), H (Audio/visual information), and L (Sensitive personal information). Face recognition data (biometric templates) and audio recordings are stored only on your device and are not disclosed to anyone.

Your rights

You may have the right to: know whether we are processing your personal data; access it; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; obtain a copy; opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling with legal/significant effects; and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@better-lyfe-tech.com. We will honor a Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signal. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.

Appeals. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by emailing support@better-lyfe-tech.com. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

California "Shine the Light" Law. California residents may request, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
